About us
Why Marlow?
Marlow Film Studios is on a mission to create a working space of unparalleled quality, designed for filmmakers within global High-End film and TV production in the heart of the UK’s filmmaking community – whilst also simultaneously benefitting the wider community.
We believe ongoing commitments to both community and our nation’s creative culture are needed to establish a place that meets industry demand and where leading talent can work and pass on skills to the generations to come.
We’ve set our sights on long-term results. This kind of legacy requires a strong culture rooted in a powerful vision and that’s why our team will stay on as project operators and creative supporters for the long-term.

Our Story
In 2015 the UK overtook California as the world’s filmmaking destination and has continued to outperform. Leading this success is Buckinghamshire.
A significant history of blockbusters from Brief Encounter to the James Bond franchise and many other globally recognised film and TV productions make this area the focus of an essential part of the UK creative economy.
Bringing stories to life is a global industry and the UK, indeed Buckinghamshire boasts some of the world’s best storytellers. The expert artisans, technicians, designers and creators who help to produce the world’s best films, are found right here.

The workforce is local. About 600 of the most recognised industry specialists in the UK live within 15 minutes of Marlow and two thirds are within a reasonable travel time.
With one in five young people ranking the film industry as their dream career, the world’s greatest storytellers need a new and a better home in an environment that respects them and the broader environment. A visionary place that attracts the best talent, housed under one roof to work together. Somewhere for young talent to learn and grow, where the latest technology is used to its most dazzling effect.
